organizations and political leaders to speak at
June 30 rally for Northern Colorado water project
Weld County, Colo. – Northern Colorado public
officials and directors of farm, ranch and ditch company
organizations have gathered to be part of a growing list of
participants at a rally to show
overwhelming support for the proposed Northern
Integrated Supply Project. NISP would capture high

store for use along the growing northern Front Range and
help prevent the dry-up of thousands of acres of farmland.

1:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 30 at the Leffler farm, 13 miles east
of I-25 and Harmony Road , 1 3/4 miles west of Eaton, on Weld
County Road 74. The rally will highlight the importance of
water storage to the future of agriculture in the region and the
strong farm and ranch community support for NISP.
State Sen. Mary Hodge (D) and State Rep. Jerry
Sonnenberg (R) are among the public officials slated to speak.
In addition, representatives from theColorado Farm Bureau, Colorado
Corn Growers, the Larimer and Weld Irrigation Company and several
other organizations will express their support. Weld County
